Project Nicknames

Users can now add project nicknames per project segment.

Nicknames can be added, deleted, and modified from the segment homepage.

The nickname will appear:

On the segment homepage
In the project snapshot on the project and segment homepages
On the PI dashboard in the Required Signatures, Active Projects, Pending Projects, and Interfaculty Involvement sections
Users can search using the project nickname from the GMAS homepage, the segment search, and the advanced search

Currently, the following users can add, delete, and modify project nicknames:

The character limit for project nickname is 40 characters.

The “Investigator Question” (Is this member responsible for the design, conduct or reporting of the proposed research?) will now be displayed on all HMS projects.
On HSPH projects, research team members indicated as key personnel will no longer receive the COI approval on non-PHS+ requests (unless the research team member is required to disclose under the University Policy)
Within the University Area and HSPH, COI disclosures on non-PHS+ projects will no longer require review before award setup. COI approval statuses on these projects will default to "No interests", “Disclosure on file”, or “No disclosure”, and will never have a “Needs Review” status.
Research team members, who do not have a HUID and do have a COI approval, will now have their COI approval status default to “Check status”.

A new component (Financial Award Information) will appear on the segment homepage. Users with access to the segment can view the financial award information. Only designated users in OSP can add and edit the financial award information.
A new suite of enhancements has been introduced to support the "information management" process for the post-award functions in OSP. The new data fields captured include:
Financial contact
- Contact name
- Address, City, State, State/Province, Country
- Phone number
- Fax number
- Reporting email address
- Contact email address
PO number
Reportable interest (Y/N)
Refund of balanced required (Y/N)
Report submission method (Mail, Electronic Submission, PayWeb)
Sponsor's approval required for carryforward (Y/N)
Deliverable schedule
- Deliverable must be met before billing (Y/N)
- Deliverable must be met before payment is issued (Y/N)
- Comments
Reportable cost share (Y/N)
Budget restrictions
Reporting in foreign currency required (Y/N)
Sponsor withholds a retention until reporting is complete (Y/N)

The required PI signature for subagreements has been removed. The PI's signature will no longer be required (either signed or logged) in order to create a subagreement.

A new flag within a segment revision has been added to indicate whether or not was received in foreign currency. The foreign currency flag appears on the Action Memo.
Users creating segment revisions will be prevented from exceeding the 740 character limit during entry of the Revision comments.

Resolved an issue that was causing some S2S opportunities to appear as supported that were not.

The front door pop up window has been removed.
The GMAS inbox has been removed. All notifications and reminders will be sent to users' preferred email address.
Issue resolved that was creating duplicate Person profiles.
Performance has been improved on the Sponsored Notices dashboard.
PIs and Mentors can now view their own closed and not funded projects.
The Participation Agreement reminder and to-do has been replaced with an email notification only. The email notification will go to the person responsible for signing the Participation Agreement.

In Internet Explorer, true GMAS errors will now display instead of generic browser errors.
